General Information about the Tours

Rivers for Rafting:	Different rivers, such as Suna, Shuya, Chirka-Kem. The longest ones and with large amount of turns and rapids.
Period:	From the beginning of May till the end of September. The period and dates depend on weather, especially temperature.

There are more than 23 thousand rivers in the Russian republic of Karelia. The republic is situated in the Western part of Northern Russia. The whole territory of Karelia is covered by taiga, coniferous forest (firtrees and pines). One can see a lot of rocks and rocky hills here. All the rivers are plain, but they have often got many turns, rapids and waterfalls. Fast currents are an ordinary thing, also. That's why there is a good choice of rafting tours here.
