Say we must that civilians didn't go to the monastery for rubles
and they often became monks without a monetary contribution - they brought their talent to
the cloister. They were never asked about their past. The desire to work together,
shoulder-to shoulder was overwhelming, and all the ill feelings connected with worldly
injustice were left on the mainland shore behind the waves of the sea.
